Thanks ED. It's starting to give me that look and feel that I was after.

Those tabs were a part of the Kit Ramp support system. I cut most of it away and filled the two holes where they had the ramps slide in. I will be using a portion of those tabs for support when I fab the folding ramps.

:) I don't know about you, Gary.  A ready to race open wheeler sitting on a partly built trailer, and a driver in full garb waving to no one in particular. Maybe it is the glue.

John, if you look closely the driver is saying "Uh hold on a second. I think we're going to need some wheels on this trailer before I can get to the track so maybe I will take my driver's suit back off since I jumped to gun a little!"

The trailer is looking really nice Gary!!

LOL...Well David...This is the new style of trailer...it's called a"LEVA-TATER". It don't use wheels at all. As you can see by the driver's left hand, it looks as though he wants it up a little higher.

The wheels and axles are in mock up to get a measurement for the loading ramps. The back wall of the cargo box is in and now the rest of it can be fabbed along with the tire rack.
Here's a look...

Fantastic job on the trailer and it will look great hauling that beautiful sprinter to the track.

Really good looking trailer.  Please show detail on the suspension.  That is one of my weakest areas, especially on double/triple axle trailers.  ???
When I win the Powerball I will switch to the real ones.

Thanks Folks for the Compliments.

The Loading ramps have been made and are in mock up here's a look....

Rick....On this build I'm using the Tandem spring setup that comes with the kit. But...one can build this if they choose. I did changed the ride by 2" by adding a 2" block on each axle mounting block. That raised the wheels up into the wheel wells for a better look. Here's a few pics for you....I hope this is what you were looking for..

Off the trailer..

Update on the trailer...the Big box is complete and the tire rack is 99% finished. This should be complete tomorrow and off to the paint shop. Here's a look...

:)  I like the slant of the rear deck, the side cabinets,  and the double row of tires.

Thanks for sharing those pictures of the suspension.  I was hoping you had scratchbuilt them and had some magic formula.  However, I think I can use those pictures to scratch a vaguely recognizable set up.

Gary Davis

Thanks John and Ed. It's going into the paint shop today.....

Rick...I hope the pics helps ya. I don't think there's a real MAGIC formula for making leaf springs suspension. I've made a few in the past and I found that the hardest part is getting all the leafs bent to the correct ride height.
