Man...I had that feeling that this was going to look really cool. It looks GREAT with out the white stripe. Adding that will make this car a KNOCK OUT!! Great job Bob..
"Man...I love the smell of Methonal and Dirt in the morning. Then....Methonal and Asphalt in the afternoon is GOLDEN also."

Thanks Gary,

I'm having fun building this one. It has some challenges, but that's what makes it interesting.

Excellent job on the two tone paint. What kind of paint are you using?

Bob P.

Mark,

I used Rust-Oleum for the orange.
The blue is Testors 1211 gloss dark blue.
I painted the car all orange first, then taped off the area I wanted to stay orange, and sprayed the blue over the orange.
I always do a test, with the paint I'm using, on a piece of scrap material.
I have the white vinyl tape on and a coat of clear Future applied.

I don't like Rust-Oleum paint but they had the correct orange for this build. If I'm using hardware store paints I like Krylon best.

The decision on the paint I use usually depends on what I can find in the closest color for the replica builds.
