Definitely a fine looking modified, reminds me of earlier times at Bowman Gray. Is this primarily an out-of-the-box build or have you made changes?  I have the Pinto Ridgerunner, which is basically the same kit.  What might I need to look out for when constructing this one?
When I win the Powerball I will switch to the real ones.

rick, this was built 99% box stock with a few modifications.I made new bars from the firewall to the radiator support with styrene rod. I added a hood scoop and an extention to the kit hood. the wheels are resin, the left front tire is off of an old super stocker kit and the front bumper is from the pinto slammer kit. everything else was from the vega kit. I shortened the wheelbase 3/16" by cutting the frame. I added a picture to show where I cut it so I wouldn't have to mess with the motor mounts and things.i shortened the floor pan, moved the cage to the rear some and also lowered the cage just a little. I don't always shorten the frames it just depends on the body, I personally think the vega and pinto look good either way. if you look at the pics in the under construction section you can see where I moved the cage to the rear some. davids pinto he just built has the cage moved to the rear also, which I think looks way better. other than a few modifications the pinto should build fairly box stock. I also added a picture of the green paint I used on the body for anyone wanting to know.

One of my favorite bodies on a Mod! And don't let that green paint fool ya, luck has nothing to do with it being a winner!

Thanks for the explanation.  I hope to get to mine sometime before I forget why I have this wall of unbuilt models.
When I win the Powerball I will switch to the real ones.
